Deepak founded Polaris with the goal of providing expert engineering services for a wide variety of clients looking for answers to today’s most complex problems. He has put together a high-performing, multi-disciplined team of experts with over a century of combined experience in design, construction and engineering evaluations.
Deepak earned a dual Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Mechanical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently licensed in 20 states, the District of Columbia and Guam.
In his role as Vice President, James performs forensic engineering evaluations, oversees relationships with current and prospective clients, and coordinates properly qualified and licensed staff for assignments. He also focuses his efforts on developing new and expanded service offerings, implementing innovative and improved technologies, and ensuring top-notch and expeditious client service. His commitment to excellence and attention to detail impact his work and the work of the Polaris team.
James earned his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. James is currently a licensed engineer in over twenty states.
Outside of the office, James enjoys golf, woodworking, and spending time with his wife and three daughters.
Coming on board in 2020, Bradley’s goal was to expand on James’s and Deepak’s vision for the company. In addition to ensuring exceptional client service, he cultivates an employee-focused culture, including identifying and developing expert talent and implementing transparent, employee-friendly policies.
Bradley earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. In addition to people skills, his technical expertise includes concrete materials, structural analysis, failure analysis, wind design and storm damage evaluations. Bradley is the proud dad of two wonderful daughters, and he loves golf, fishing and hiking.
Chad Sellers joined Polaris in 2018 as a Marketing Manager and is currently the Director of Business Development. He brings over ten years of experience in forensic engineering sales and marketing. His focus is to meet every aspect of our current client’s needs, while actively working to grow the customer base of Polaris. Chad is focused on personal client meetings as well as local, state, and national conferences with the goal of sharing the benefits and services of partnering with Polaris.
In his spare time, Chad enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing volleyball, and cooking.
Leah Long joined Polaris Forensics in 2025 as the Director of Business Development and Marketing, bringing over 15 years of expertise in business development and client relationship management. She is passionate about community engagement, business expansion and strategic growth.
Leah excels at building strong partnerships and facilitating effective communication, ensuring long-term success for both clients and the company. Her ability to develop and nurture key relationships plays a vital role in Polaris Forensics’ continued growth and industry leadership.
Now, as an empty nester, Leah enjoys reading, traveling, attending concerts, and trying new restaurants. Movies and golf tournaments are another way she spends quality time with valued friends and family.
Kirk earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of North Florida and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Ohio University. Kirk’s prior experience includes structural design and analysis for hydraulic structures, residential structures, and light commercial structures.
Before joining Polaris Forensics, Inc., Kirk worked for a forensic company focused on large loss claims and performed various calculations, completed forensic inspections, and wrote technical reports.
Outside of the office, Kirk can be found dirt bike riding, mountain bike riding, or hanging out with friends/family.
Harry Kodumuru is a Project Director based in Polaris’s Plano, Texas, office. In his role, he assists clients by evaluating structures damaged due to a variety of causes. Harry has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the National Institute of Technology Warangal (India) and a master’s degree in structural engineering from the University of California San Diego. He has over 6 years of experience in structural design and forensics.
Outside of work, Harry enjoys spending time with his wife, playing sports, and working out.
David earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2008. David has over eight years of design and construction experience in structural and civil engineering. Before joining Polaris Forensics, Inc., David worked for forensic companies that focused on both commercial and residential structures. David’s forensic engineering experience includes inspections of commercial, governmental, industrial, and residential structures, along with writing technical reports, and has provided depositions.
Parasar Gosain is a skilled civil and structural engineer with over five years of experience. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, a master’s degree, and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Florida International University. As a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), Parasar has extensive expertise in building inspections, structural assessments, and forensic investigations. In addition, he holds a Level II Thermographer certification and a Drone Pilot license, enabling him to conduct thorough and comprehensive investigations with advanced tools and techniques.
Parasar’s unique combination of advanced academic qualifications and hands-on experience allows him to deliver accurate, reliable engineering solutions for complex structural challenges, prioritizing safety, sustainability, and the long-term durability of every project.
Outside of work, he likes to spend time with his wife and friends and exploring different cuisines and new flavors.
Santosh earned his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from M.S. University, India. He then earned a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Lamar University, Texas. Santosh has over 13 years of experience in the field of Civil Engineering and 10 years in Structural Engineering. The majority of his experience is in designing multi-family and mixed use residential, and commercial box stores. He has over 3 years of experience in forensic engineering with emphasis on mid-rise and high-rise residential condominiums.
Outside of work, Santosh enjoys recreational sports like table tennis, tennis, and cricket. He also enjoys spending time with his kids.
Alex Overeem is a highly experienced civil and structural engineer with over eight years of industry expertise. As a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), he has worked extensively in building inspections, forensic investigations, structural condition assessments, repair design, new construction design, and construction administration and management. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering, along with dual Master’s degrees in Project Management and Civil Engineering—all from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina.
Specializing in building sciences, Alex brings a methodical and fact-based approach to every project. Known for his diligence and integrity, he prioritizes quality, safety, and objective evaluation throughout his work. He has contributed to the design and construction of several coastal structures and has successfully led teams of engineers-in-training (EITs) as a project manager.
What drives Alex is a genuine passion for helping people, a love of learning, and the opportunity to explore new places through his forensic work. He remains actively engaged in professional development through continuing education and local engineering groups.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time by the water—whether it’s the beach, lake, or pool—cooking for friends and family, and producing music.
Sarah has over a decade of experience in civil and structural engineering, with a career that spans both new construction and rehabilitation projects. Her transition into forensic engineering was a natural progression, leveraging her deep technical expertise and hands-on experience. She has conducted inspections and evaluations on a wide range of structures—from private homes and commercial buildings to transit infrastructure—and has been involved in the design of new structures including foundations, pipe supports, and commercial facilities, as well as the repair of transit system structures.
Known for her sharp attention to detail and systematic problem-solving, Sarah balances precision with a broad, strategic perspective. She thrives in the dynamic environment of forensic work, particularly enjoying the opportunity to explore new locations and work outside the traditional office setting.
Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree in structural engineering from the University of California, San Diego, and a master’s degree in civil engineering from San Diego State University.
Outside of her professional life, Sarah enjoys traveling, cooking, and new adventures with her husband and two sons.
Dale obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville in 1993. He also obtained his Master of Business Administration from Tennessee Technological University in 2018. Dale’s forensic engineering experience includes field inspections of commercial, governmental, industrial, religious, and residential structures for cause and origin and forensic analysis, such as structural, settlement, mechanical, moisture intrusion, vehicle impact, hail, wind, flood, tornado, frozen pipes, lightning, explosion, and construction vibration damage. He has prepared written reports of findings and has provided depositions and testimony on forensic engineering cases.
Ms. Bounds has been involved in the mechanical and plumbing engineering sector for over twenty-five years. Early in her career, Ms. Bounds was employed in the research and engineering department of a HVAC manufacturing company. Following her position with the HVAC manufacturer, Ms. Bounds transitioned to mechanical and plumbing system design work, as well as preparation of fire protection performance criteria, throughout the United States. Ms. Bounds has provided litigation support, including assessment, review, or investigation of design documents, evaluation and/or analysis of mechanical and plumbing systems ranging from the construction document phase to post-construction failure analysis. Mechanical system experience includes direct expansion (DX), chilled water, condenser water (water cooled), energy recover and variable refrigerant flow (VRF), steam systems for commercial laundry/kitchens, and mechanical smoke control systems. Projects have included hospitality, retail, educational (K-12 and higher-education), high-rise/low-rise residential, office, industrial/warehouse, and cultural (museum/performing arts/library) buildings.
Frank is a US Army veteran and obtained an Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Penn State in 1973. He worked as a field technician at several NASA ground stations in support of a number of experimental satellite projects before obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology degree from Penn State University in 1976. He then obtained a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at Youngstown State University in 1979, and in 1982, obtained the first of his now twenty Professional Engineering registrations. He was awarded one patent while working as a product design engineer at GM.
Frank started his career as a forensic engineer in 2007 and became a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) in 2008. Since that time, he has investigated over 2,000 losses involving electrical and mechanical failures due to lightning, fire, water intrusion, freeze damage and installation issues, residential, commercial and vehicle fires, electric shock, explosions, and failures on vehicles ranging from motorcycles to heavy trucks. He has provided depositions and expert testimony to district and federal courts.
Outside of work, one can usually find Frank either working around his house, working on one of his old cars, or riding his e-bike on the back roads and trails of Texas.
As a senior associate, Stephen provides technical services and assistance on various types of forensic evaluations. His contributions include field observation and documentation, drone (UAV) photography, cost estimating, ground penetrating radar (GPR) scanning, lab testing and analysis, infrared (IR) imaging, and computer-aided design (CAD) services. Stephen is originally from Dallas and now resides near Fort Worth. In his spare time, Stephen enjoys wood working, keeping up with his favorite Dallas area sports teams, and spending time with his wife, son, and daughter.
After earning his Bachelor of Communications from Texas Christian University, Charles earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Southern Methodist University. He started his career working for multiple years in Transportation Engineering but made the leap to forensic engineering in 2021 and has not looked back. Charles enjoys getting out from behind the desk, getting his hands dirty in the field, and working with the Polaris team on a variety of interesting projects. Outside the office, Charles is an avid sports fan and enjoys spending time with his wife (Alex), daughter (Savannah), and their dog (Charlotte).
Vincent Odine is a seasoned expert with over 18 years of experience in construction management, program management, and land development. He earned his degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, with concentrations in transportation engineering and site selection.
Specializing in site selection, risk assessment, and pre-construction analysis, Vincent has successfully led a wide range of projects across multiple asset classes. He leverages AI-driven site analysis, predictive modeling, and advanced engineering tools to optimize workflows and reduce costs. His commitment to innovation and operational excellence ensures efficient, high-value project delivery in the real estate and construction industry.
Lindsay joined the Polaris team in 2021 as an Administrative Coordinator and has since advanced to her current role as Senior Operations Coordinator. With a strong focus on client care and operational excellence, Lindsay ensures every project runs seamlessly from start to finish. She is known for her proactive communication, exceptional organization, and ability to keep complex processes running smoothly. Whether managing internal resources, coordinating project logistics, or supporting clients directly, Lindsay approaches every task with precision, professionalism, and a genuine dedication to quality service.
Outside the office, Lindsay enjoys cheering on her favorite baseball and football teams, diving into a good true crime show, and spending time with her family, son and dog, Mattie Mae.
Heather joined the Polaris team in 2023 as an Administrative Assistant. Heather has a passion for efficiency, productivity, and helping others. Her dedication to teamwork and delivering exceptional administrative support helps to ensure seamless operations and exhibits her commitment to the overall success of the organization.
Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time with family, singing karaoke, and traveling.
